Setting Up Python

The Python installation you have does not fit the requirements!

Please visit the Python webpage for the newest 2.7.X release (not the newest 3.Y.Z version!) and click "Download 2.7.X".

Extract the compressed file by using tar -xf Python-2.7.X.tar.gx and enter the Python-2.7.X-directory you have just created which includes the Python source code.

We now have to decide where to install Python. In the following field, please enter the local directory on your computer where you want it to be installed (e.g. something like /user/checkmate/tools/)
